Answer . Have been looking for the answer for 40 years. I'm guessing at this point it must be a home brewer that retails in excess of $300.00, because I have tried them all… under $300.00. Maybe it is just a price you must pay to get "coffee house" coffee at home. . New Question. Why do you want it to be the hottest? The SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association) recomends brewing at 200 degrees. I like to put my water in a tea kettle and use a french press, which is available at many local coffee houses.
According to the National Coffee Association of U.S.A., cold water should initially be used to brew coffee. Then, for optimal coffee extraction, the brewer should maintain a t…emperature of 195 - 205 degrees Fahrenheit (90 - 96 degrees Celsius). Lower temperatures will result in underextraction and a flat flavor. Higher temperatures will cause a loss of flavor quality.

It depends on your preference. If you don't mind drinking mud, then it can sit out for a month. If you take good coffee seriously then drink it within the hour!
If you are referring to the finished brew not being a dark brown, it's impossible. Coffee is made of elements that are water soluble, so when the hot water runs over them the…y are extracted into the water and end up in the finished product. There is no way to brew a pot of clear coffee, just as there is no way to brew clear tea or clear beer.
keurig coffee maker will not brew. what am i doing wrong? It also has a metallic smell.
I would love someone to enlighten me! !! Rita
First off, if you're using an older coffee pot (year or more) you should run a full pot of a diluted solution of white vinegar and water through for a brewing cycle. This will… clean out any water scaling that could be impeding the water flow through the system. You could also try using hot water to make your coffee, since hot water has a lower viscosity when its heated and will flow faster. The only drawback is that if you have an older hot water heater or don't use hot water that much, you're using water that has been sitting in your water heater. Not as fresh as cold water. I've used hot water a few times and haven't noticed a difference in taste and it seems to take less time. Then again, I'm also using a new hot water heater.
yes because a tea maker is just like a coffee maker and it does exactly what a coffee maker can do but you can make much larger amounts.
