Many janitorial stores carry products designed to remove red stains from carpets/upholstery . The process is to apply the product directly to the stain, let sit for one minute, brush lightly to agitate, then blot with a clean white towel , then place a heating iron over the towel. It may need two or… three applications to remove the stain , and depending on how long the stain has been there you may not be able to fully remove it. One last piece of advice. If possible take the piece of furniture outside , or have plenty of ventilation, as the product I use is ammonia based and has a very strong odor. This is a tried and true stain removal answer for red liquid stains (such as red colored drinks) IF they are caught while they are still wet or very newly dried. Windex glass cleaner. When I discovered how well it worked I called the company and asked why they didn't advertise this. They told me that they knew how well it worked but it will sometimes take the color out of an item so they couldn't endorse the use on fabrics. So be careful. (MORE)

I was told red is one of the hardest colours to lighten. Dyed of course.. I would recommend going to a salon. If you try at home, it will probably be far from what you'd want. It also depends on how red/auburn it is. And what shade of blonde you're going for.
To make red dye you need to take 3 redberries and 5 coins to Aggie in Draynor Village or to Ali the Dyer in Pollnivneach. If you are a member it can also be bought from Oronwen at Lletya from the seamstress' shop.

With any hair dye, you've got to remember that the end result is dependent on your base hair color - don't assume that the you'll always end up with that amazing shade modeled on the box. It's all very well smothering your hair in fantastically bright red hair dye, but if it's applied on top of your… very dark hair, the results won't be anywhere near as striking as you might hope. If you're feeling adventurous and want to choose a vibrant, bright red shade but have brunette hair, you will need to lighten your hair first. Bear in mind that lightening hair will always create some damage by the very nature of the process, so be prepared to lavish your newly red locks with some good quality conditioner. If you want dramatic red results, but just haven't got the patience for a two-step process (and who could blame you, I always found upkeep of my red hair a real pain) L'oreal sell a type of dye called Majicontrast that's a high lift tint containing peroxide - you can use it to lighten and dye your darker hair bright red in one step, so no fussing about with bleach beforehand. I'm not sure you would call it dangerous, but I myself became allergic to FD&C red dye #40. It was in several of the pink liquid antibiotics I took when I was young. I kept breaking out in hives and they thought I was becoming allergic to the antibiotics. We figured it out when I had a single slice …and bake sugar cookie with a red snowman in the middle. A half hour later I was starting to itch. I don't think I've had an episode since (as far as hives go) but I've found that I'm sensitive to any strong concentration of dye--they taste HORRIBLE.
